Jay Fullman

Jay was born in Annapolis, Maryland and spent his formative years in Annapolis, Fox Chapel (near Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania, and Manhattan Beach, California.

Jay was taught the Gospel by his brother who was converted through the Campus Advance ministry of the Costa Mesa Church of Christ. Jay was baptized into Christ and became a Christian at age 16, and began attending the Hermosa Beach Church of Christ.

Jay met Janice while working and worshipping at the Hermosa Beach Church of Christ. Jay and Janice graduated from Pepperdine University, Malibu, where Jay studied political science. Jay and Janice were married at Hermosa Beach in 1976. Jay then proceeded to study law at the University of Southern California law center, graduated from USC with the Juris Doctor degree in 1980, passed the California Bar Exam, and began his legal practice in 1980.

Jay and Janice have been blessed with 3 children: Joshua, Julia, and Jessica, and 4 grandchildren: Judah, Ezra, Malachi, and Gemma.

Jay and Janice have worked and worshiped with the Cypress, Western Avenue, and Yorba Linda churches of Christ in Orange County, where Jay has served as a youth group director, Bible class teacher, and deacon, and then as an elder of the Yorba Linda Church of Christ since 2005. He is currently one of the elders of the SoCal Church of Christ and oversees corporate and financial matters.

Jay has served on the Board of Directors of Orange County Christian School (a K – 12 Christian school located in Anaheim) since 1986, and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCCS. 

Jay’s favorite scripture passages are Proverbs 3: 5-6 and Philippians 4: 4-9.
