Jeff Wright

Jeff was born in Clovis, California but moved around the state as a child and lived in the small towns of Healdsburg and Los Banos as a child, then moved back to Clovis for his high school years. He was baptized into Christ and became a Christian at age 17 while attending the Arlington Heights Church of Christ in Fresno.

After graduating from Clovis High in 1992, he attended Abilene Christian University, where he would meet the love of his life, Margie Shambaugh. They would marry and return to California in 1995. Jeff would go on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from National University, and then his Master’s degree in Sports Leadership from Concordia University. Margie and Jeff have worked as educators for nearly 30 years, working in both Clovis and Tustin Unified.

Jeff and Margie have called Tustin home since 2005, where they raised their two boys Timothy and Nathanael. Both boys graduated from Foothill High School and went on to earn their degrees at Harding University. Timothy and Nathanael both enrolled in ROTC while at Harding and graduated as commissioned officers in the U.S. Army. Timothy has served as an EOD and logistics officer, and is currently a Captain in the Arkansas National Guard. Nathanael is also serving in the Arkansas National Guard as a Lieutenant in the 39th Infantry Brigade. Jeff and Margie’s family continues to grow and are blessed to have two wonderful daughters-in-law and their first grandchild. Katie (Conder) from Collierville, Tennessee married Timothy in 2018, and brought their first child, David, into the world in January of 2025. Jessica (Bridges) from Sherman, Texas married Nathanael in 2022.

Jeff and Margie were active members in the Woodward Park Church of Christ in Fresno, California from 1996-2005, and joined the Yorba Linda Church of Christ congregation in 2005. Jeff served as a song leader, teacher, and deacon of education while worshiping in Yorba Linda, and in 2023 was installed as an Elder. He continues to serve as an Elder for the SoCal Church of Christ and has a passion for understanding the application of God’s Word in the lives of our members. His favorite scripture is Philippians 2:3-9.
